The Program on China and the United States examines one of the most consequential relationships in international affairs. Its mission is to ensure that informed engagement remains central to U.S.–China relations, grounded in historical understanding, careful analysis and accurate assessment of both countries’ strategic priorities.

The History and Public Policy Program makes key foreign policy records accessible and supports scholarship on international affairs, past and present. It works to expand access to primary source materials from archives around the world and to facilitate research grounded in documentary evidence.

The Foreign Policy, Strategy and Statecraft Program prepares students to engage seriously with U.S. foreign policy at a time of rapid geopolitical change. The program combines academic study with practitioner insight, giving students the tools to analyze strategy, assess risk and evaluate policy choices across regions and issue areas.
